Rain Patterns

Raining Cats and Dogs

Based on 20 years of satellite observations, scientists found a distinct link between tropical rainfall extremes and temperature, with heavy rain events increasing during warm periods and decreasing during cold periods.

We still try to understand how the generally warmer climate change various aspects of the water cycle on Earth as well as other perturbations of the system as we know it. I for one appreciate the complexity of this system. The latest results from integrating observations show that when it rains it rains harder. Raining cats and dogs is one of my favorite English expressions by the way. :-)
