The Earth

Oblique Earth

That, this delicate soft blue layer right there, is all it takes to protect us from the lethal interstellar and solar radiation. The fact that the atmosphere, though it shields us from most of the radiation from the universe, does in fact allow some of the nasty stuff getting down to the surface of the planet, is what makes me totally relaxed about all humanly induced radiation. We evolved in this environment. It is unbelievable that people actually think we can outpower rest of the universe. It really beats me, the total lack of grounding some have. People, we are not even noise in the big picture! Get it, already! :-)
